Saturday, August 22nd: The most stressful day of my entire life.
I woke up at 6:30am with my Macbook on my knee ready for the most anticipated shoe release of the year, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350. I am not much of a trainer fan, but I remember seeing these a few months ago and knew instantly that I had to get my hands on a pair. The first website to release them was JD Sports, but unfortunately the website completely crashed and everybody was stuck with a pair in their basket unable to checkout. Next up, Footlocker. Which gave me a little Deja vu since the exact same thing happened. Losing all hope I decided to wait for the official launch on the Adidas website. This appeared to be my lucky break as I managed to scoop a pair in my size and I proceeded to jump and scream as if I had just beaten my father on Mario Kart 64
On Wednesday, the shoes finally arrived and I have to say they are the comfiest shoes that I have ever worn, which isn’t normally one of my top priorities when looking for footwear. I am obsessed with the speckled design and it fills me with joy knowing that I own such a rare pair of trainers. The quality of the shoes is fantastic, with all labels having perfect top stitching around the edge.
A part of me wanted to sell the shoes, knowing that they are currently going for upwards of £600 a pair but I just cant bring myself to do it. They will sit comfortably in my growing collection of trainers in my closet.
